Medical Assistant

Our client, centrally located in Melville, is looking for a medical assistant on a temp to hire basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor vitals and document in patient records
• Assist with intake, prep, gowning, and post-visit follow-ups
• Prepare exam rooms and supplies
• Communicate effectively with RNs, PAs, and MDs
• Support patient education and maintain confidentiality
• Ensure infection control and sterilization procedures are followed
• Handle patient transport, scheduling, and basic administrative duties
• Uphold safety and emergency preparedness standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• At least 2 years of experience as a medical assistant, certification preferred
• Experience in a surgical or aesthetics setting a big plus
• BCLS certified
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
• Comfortable with physical demands, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting

Work Schedule & Pay:

• Hours: Monday–Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Thursdays until 7 p.m.) with a half hour lunch

Pay Range: $22-25/hour based on experience
