Contract Review Attorney
Job Title: Contract Attorney (Contract-to-Hire | Remote-Friendly)
Reports to: General Counsel
Start: Ideally within 2–3 weeks | Location: Remote or Hybrid | Contract-to-Hire
Are you a sharp Attorney with strong instincts and an eye for risk? On Call Counsel is looking for a Contract Attorney to support its client’s in-house legal team—working directly with their General Counsel—on a growing volume of contracts requiring thoughtful review, strategic negotiation, and risk mitigation.
This role is twofold:

Contracts Focus:
- Review, redline, and negotiate commercial agreements using an established checklist to ensure protections are in place (e.g., 30-day termination clauses, cost controls, no evergreen terms).
- Prevent costly oversights, mitigate legal risk, and manage workload efficiently.

General Legal Support:
- Provide legal advice across a broad range of practice areas including commercial, real estate, environmental, construction, and other general matters.
- Support the VP, Associate General Counsel – Transactions, executive leadership, department heads, and field personnel.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Education/Experience:
- JD with a minimum of 6+ years of legal practice, barred from ANY state, focused on a broad range of commercial agreements (including real estate, leasing, construction, environmental, land use, and zoning)
- Superior contract drafting and negotiating skills
- Intellectual property experience preferred
- In-house experience a plus, but not required
- Automotive or OEM sector experience is a bonus
