Substitute Teacher

We’re seeking passionate and dependable Substitute Teachers to join our substitute teaching pool for private and charter schools in the Lake Alfred and greater Orange–Polk County area.

We are especially interested in educators with a background or enthusiasm for Social Studies and those open to long-term substitute assignments. These placements provide an opportunity to build strong classroom relationships and contribute meaningfully to student success.

Follow lesson plans to ensure instructional continuity and student engagement.

Manage classroom behavior and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Support learning across all subjects, with particular focus on Social Studies, literacy, and core academics.

Adapt to different grade levels and student needs, including special education.

Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents.

Maintain attendance and classroom activity records during assignments.

Previous teaching, tutoring, or classroom support experience preferred.

High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

Effective classroom management and communication skills.
