Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles, as well as proficiency in financial software. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, including invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
• Verify accuracy of invoices and ensure proper approvals are obtained before processing payments.
• Maintain vendor records and manage vendor inquiries regarding payment status.
• Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Large volume of processing invoices
• Conduct regular audits of accounts payable transactions to identify discrepancies or errors.
• Support the finance team with various accounting tasks as needed.

Skills

• Knowledge of financial software and ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
• Understanding of financial concepts and their application in accounts payable functions.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
